Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology, is one of the esteemed institutions in India.

Sitting atop the lovely hill, the institute was initially known as the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology was established in 1958 to promote research into the Mahayana sect of Buddhism and Tibetan language and culture.You can enjoy the views from the top of the hill as well as learn a lot about the norms and traditions of Mahayana Buddhism and Tibetans.
