DAY 01: MEET UPON ARRIVAL – SEPILOK ORANG UTAN– SUKAU - BORNEO NATURE LODGE – RIVER SAFARI (Lunch/Dinner)
Meet and greet at the airport and drive for 30mins to Sepilok Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Centre where orphaned and injured Orang-Utan are brought to here to be rehabilitated and returned to fend for themselves back to the wilderness.
Sepilok is a primary lowland forest; a Fine Showcase of Borneo’s Remaining Rainforest. Witness the Feeding of Orang-Utan in the forest and later watch a video documentary show.
Thereafter drive for about 2.5hrs through the rustic countryside studded with villages and then take a short boat ride to reachBorneo Nature Lodge.
Nestled along the riverbank of Kinabatangan River lies this eco-friendly resort, offering the comfort without compromising the green. A natural Haven for the Outdoor Enthusiast, Borneo Nature Lodge is your ideal lodging as you explore the melting pot of wildlife found in Sukau. The Kinabatangan River is the second longest river in Malaysia, winding 560 kilometres from the mountains in southwest Sabah, flowing out into the Sulu Sea. The lower Kinabatangan River is one of Sabah's most Splendid Natural Treasure. It is a protected area, featuring oxbow lakes and mangrove swamps which are rich with many rare and endangered animals from the fascinating proboscis monkey, Orang Utan, the estuarine crocodile, and a spectacular assembly of birdlife and if you are lucky, you might even come across the Borneo Pygmy Elephant.
A river cruise is the best way to spot these 'local residents'. The Kinabatangan River is also rich in history and culture. For centuries, the floodplain contributed to economic progress in which it is believed that the river was an important link between Chinese and Bornean traders which dates back to earliest recorded Chinese voyage to Borneo in 631 AD.
Once you arrive at the resort you will proceed for a short orientation, have lunch and then check in.
Relax by the river and at 1600hrs proceed on a Boat Cruise along Sabah's Longest River, The Kinabatangan, with an opportunity to view wildlife and birds in its virgin rainforest habitat. Search for some of the primates species including the endemic Proboscis Monkeys as they settle down on treetops. Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary is said to be One the Best places in Southeast Asia to Observe Wildlife.

DAY 02: MORNING CRUISE FOR BIRD WATCHING AND SEARCH FOR WILDLIFE – JUNGLE WALK – EVENING CRUISE FLORA & FAUNA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Wake up to the calls of birds, insects and animals. At 0600hrs take a Morning River Cruise heading onto Kelenanap Ox-Bow Lake for Bird Watching and in search of other Wildlife’s.
Thereafter take a short Jungle Walk (if weather permits) and experience the wilderness of Borneo in the morning before returning to the lodge for breakfast.
Free at leisure to explore the surrounding areas or nearby village.
In the late afternoon at 1600hrs, proceed on a boat cruise along the river to see The Many Species of Flora and Fauna found in Borneo’s Rainforest.
Overnight stay in Borneo Nature Lodge.

DAY 03: SUKAU - SANDAKAN CITY TOUR AND DEPART (Breakfast)
After breakfast return to Sandakan, proceed for a Sandakan Discovery Tour. Explore the various landmarks of Sandakan which may include Central Market, the most amazing variety of fresh seafood and agricultural products, Sim-Sim Water Village where houses are all built close to the water surface while observing the fascinating view of the sea, visit Puh Jih Syh Buddhist Temple which offers a panoramic view of Sandakan Bay situated on the hilltop of Tanah Merah.
Thereafter transferred to airport for your evening flight back to Kota Kinabalu/Kuala Lumpur.
