D01: ARRIVE AND TOUR KUCHING (Lunch)
Met and greet upon arrival.
Kuching is absolutely worth visiting—and not just because of the attractions, It is also One of the Most Beautiful Cities in Malaysia and also one of The Most Laid-Back, as a result of its location along the banks of the Sarawak River.
Split by the Sarawak River, the northern and southern parts of the city divide along ethnic lines, creating a different feeling on each side. The highlights of the city include the narrow and bustling streets which are crammed with shops selling all manner of goods, from the mundane to the exotic. There are ornate Chinese temples, many fine examples of colonial-style architecture, a beautiful waterfront and a number of interesting museums, including the historic Sarawak Museum and the nearby Gunung Gading National Park.
Thereafter proceed on a Discovery Tour of Kuching. Cruise on by the many attractions this historical city has to offer, which includes the Gigantic Cat Statue which symbolized the mascot of Kuching City. In the exciting buzz of Chinatown, proceed to Tua Pek Kong Temple, One of the Oldest Temples in Sarawak. Also, try and spot the Margherita Fort, It’s hard to miss such a stunning structure. It is an old fort constructed in 1879 by Charles Brooke, the fort is an important landmark and monument in Sarawak's history which goes back to the Brooke Dynasty. En route the next destination you will be able to witness traditional Malay houses built on Stilts. Winding through the heart of the city, look out for a majestic looking Astana Kuching that homed the former palace of White Rajah then turned into the official residence of the Governor of Sarawak. Look out for the Clock Tower and a granite obelisk built in memory of Rajah Brooke. Thereafter proceed to the Kuching Waterfront, which is the most popular gathering place here. The esplanade stretches for about 900 meter along the south bank of the Sarawak River. Dotted the length of it are food stalls, a restaurant, bistro and street food hawkers. At night, the whole stretch of the esplanade comes alive. Buskers fill the air with ethnic and contemporary songs and music. To add to the vibrancy, the Darul Hana Musical fountain comes on with its colourful display.
Lunch will be provided at local restaurant depending on the time of arrival.
Right after the tour proceed to the hotel for check in and personal activities.

DAY 02: TOUR – ORAG UTAN – CROCODILE FARM & ZOO - POTTERY FACTORY – RIVER CRUISE (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast at the hotel proceed to visit Semenggoh Nature Reserve, which is home to a colony of semi-wild orangutans who are trained and used to human encounters. It takes around 30mins to arrive followed by a Brief Hike through this Forest, known to be home to some of the Best-known Trees in the Tropics.
Unlike in a Zoo, the Orang Utans are set free in a 653 hectare forest reserve. Here, young Orang Utans, who were either orphaned or rescued from captivity, are trained to survive in the wild. Semenggoh is not set up as a tourist attraction but visitors are most welcome. Upon arrival at the Sanctuary, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the Orang Utans during their feeding time. Spot their delicate nests watch their skilful movements at the tree tops and also their interesting behaviour during feeding time. The guide will also narrate to you the behaviour, emotion and characteristics of this special primate called Orang Utan, meaning, “Man of the Forest‟.
Thereafter continue journey to visit the Crocodile Farm & Mini Zoo. The farm set amidst tropical fruit trees and lush greenery, is a home to over 1,000 crocodiles. It serves as a perfect sanctuary for these fearsome reptiles where they are kept in an enclosure designed and built similar to the natural habitat of the reptiles. Apart from the crocodiles, explore the farm for other fascinating animals such as the bear cats, civets, deer, pythons & etc that are found commonly in Sarawak.
Right after lunch, transfer to the Sarawak Pottery Factory. You will be fascinated by the delicate and creative work done by the skilful artists. This is a chance for you to get a typical Sarawak ceramic and native handicraft or “must buy items” to bring back as a souvenir or gifts or as a personal collection. You will sail past the Waterfront, Brooke Dockyard, the 100 year old Malay Kampung, Fort Margherita, Astana, Square Tower and the Industrial Estate. You will see landmarks of the bygone era that still stand majestically along the riverbanks.
