DAY 01: ARRIVE AND TOUR MIRI
Met and greet upon arrival.
Miri forms a Gateway to the famous Gunung Mulu National Park k. Miri used to be a bit of a cowboy village in the past, where people mainly came in search of oil. It is said that Malaysia's petroleum industry once started in Miri. Years later however, Miri grew out to be a modern city though still a bit overshadowed by the neighboring oil state of Brunei. Miri is also the main gateway for Loagan Bunut National Park (Sarawak's largest natural lake), Lambir National Park (12th site with biggest biodiversity in the world) and Niah National Park with its fantastic caves and waterfalls.
Proceed on a Discovery Tour of Miri covering Malaysia 1st Oil Well or The Grand Old Lady located at Canada Hill, The Largest Taoist Temple in South East Asia, Miri City Fan, Miri Heritage Centre (handicraft & souvenir) and visit Tamun Muhibbah ~ the local farmers market where you can find various tropical fruit and vegetable. Finally enjoy your shopping at Modern and Trendy Shopping Malls.
Transfer to hotel for check in.
Overnight at city hotel/resort.

DAY 02: DEPART MIRI BY FLIGHT TO MULU. UPON ARRVAL CHECK IN AND PROCEED FOR THE DEER & LANG CAVE TOUR (Breakfast/Dinner)
Upon arrival Mulu Airport, meet and greet by our friendly representative and transfer to Mulu Marriott Resort & Spa for check in. Gunung Mulu National Park is one of Nature’s most spectacular achievements and the ‘Jewels in the Crown’ of Sarawak’s expanding network of national park. It is also the largest national park, covering 544 sq km of primary rainforest; which is criss-crossed by fast flowing rivers and clear jungle streams. Mulu is dominated by three mountains – Gunung Mulu (2,376 m), Gunung Api (1,750 m) and Gunung Benarat (1,858 m). Yet many of Mulu’s greatest attractions lie deep below the surface. Hidden underneath the forested slopes of these mountains is one of the largest limestone cave systems in the world.
Afternoon, meet at Park HQ and proceed on plank walk for 3 Km to reach the Deer Cave & Lang Cave. There is much to see on the way to the cave, including some superb rainforest, jungle streams and an ancient Penan burial cave. When you reach the cave entrance you are left in no doubt that you are about to enter the Largest Cave Passage in the World. Deer Cave is simply huge – it is just over 2 kilometers in length and never less than 90metres high and wide. The main chamber, which is partially lit by sunlight, is 174 meters wide and 122 meters high. This is the area where the deer used to shelter so the local Penan and Berawan people named the Gua Payau or Gua Rusa (Deer Cave). A path leads into the cave and winds its way around, following the natural contours of the cave floor. Although the path is lit, a flashlight is useful for examining the guano-covered cave floor and its population of insects. The path eventually leads to the “Garden I Eden” where a hole in the cave roof lets in a shaft of light which allows the rich green vegetation to thrive. Another feature is the famous Profile of Abraham Lincoln, which guards the southern entrance of the cave.
A visit to Deer Cave is usually combined with one to Lang’s Cave, whose entrance is a short distance away from that of Deer Cave. Lang’s Cave is the smallest of the show caves but its rock formations are well worth seeing. These are made all the more attractive by the strategically positioned spotlights which highlight stalactites and stalagmites. As the cave is relatively small and well-lit, it offers good opportunities to see some of its inhabitants such as bats, swiftlets and even cave-dwelling snakes.
After exploring the caves, proceed to Bats Observatory to observe bats flying out of the caves entrance at late evening (Only confine to fine weather).
Return journey on the same plank walk back to park headquarters and transfer back to resort.
Dinner & overnight stay at resort.

DAY 03: TOUR THE WIND CAVE AND CLEARWATER CAVE + VISIT THE LOCAL TRIBE SETTLEMENT (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast at resort depart by a Long Boat going up the river to Wind Cave via Penan settlement in Batu Bungan.
Visit the settlement and observe the lifestyle of this tribe.
Visit Wind Cave and Explore the Limestone Formation of this unique eco system. Continue the journey by plank walk to Clearwater Cave where more interesting stone formation can be seen. Rajah Brooke butterflies can be seen hovering at the river and entrance of the caves. Clearwater cave is Asia’s longest cave, measuring an incredible 215 km (of explored area). It has a subterranean river, part of which is navigable by boat.
Picnic lunch at Clearwater summer huts and thereafter enjoy swimming or just relaxing by the Clearwater spring.
Thereafter return by longboat back to Mulu Marriott Resort.
Dinner & overnight stay at resort.

DAY 04: DEPART MULU FOR ONWARD JOURNEY (Meal on Board/Breakfast)
