It was built as a Christian church in the 6th century ce(532–537) under the direction of the Byzantine emperor Justinian I. In subsequent centuries it became a mosque, a museum, and a mosque again. The building reflects the religious changes that have played out in the region over the centuries, with the minarets and inscriptions of Islam as well as the lavish mosaics of Christianity.

What to see?

Had a visit and admire the blue beauty of Blue Mosques
The Blue Mosque, called Sultanahmet Camii in Turkish is an historical mosque in Istanbul. The mosque is known as the Blue Mosque because of blue tiles surrounding the walls of interior design.Mosque was built between 1609 and 1616 years, during the rule of Ahmed I. just like many other mosques, it also comprises a tomb of the founder, a madrasa and a hospice.Besides still used as a mosque, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque has also become a popular tourist attraction in Istanbul.

The Hippodrome, where relentless chariot races were held, was also the scene of many rebellions and massacres. The hippodrome was filled with statues of gods, emperors, animals, and heroes, among them some famous works, such as a 4th-century BC Heracles by Lysippos, Romulus and Remus with the she-wolf Lupa, and the 5th-century BC Serpent Column.

What to see?

Up, Up and Away! Fly High with hot air balloon in Cappadocia!
A hot air balloon is a lighter-than-air aircraft consisting of a bag, called an envelope, which contains heated air. Suspended beneath is a gondola or wicker basket (in some long-distance or high-altitude balloons, a capsule), which carries passengers and a source of heat, in most cases an open flame caused by burning liquid propane. The heated air inside the envelope makes it buoyant, since it has a lower density than the colder air outside the envelope. As with all aircraft, hot air balloons cannot fly beyond the atmosphere. The envelope does not have to be sealed at the bottom, since the air inside the envelope is at about the same pressure as the surrounding air. In modern sport balloons the envelope is generally made from nylon fabric, and the inlet of the balloon (closest to the burner flame) is made from a fire-resistant material such as Nomex. Modern balloons have been made in many shapes, such as rocket ships and the shapes of various commercial products, though the traditional shape is used for most non-commercial and many commercial applications.

What to see?

What you see around is what your imagination brings you at Devrent Valley.
Known as "Imagination Valley", this region contains rock formations that look almost like sculptures. It is a beautiful valley full of unique rock formations, many of which are said to resemble animal shapes. The beauty of this spot in Cappadocia is that has very easy driving access and isn’t as crowded as the open-air museums and iconic cave dwelling locations.

The finest example of a historic cave home is the Uchisar Castle. This beautiful and historic castle is located in the town of Uçhisar, in the Goreme Province of Cappadocia, Turkey. The castle is built on a hilltop overlooking the town and the surrounding desert landscape and is situated at the highest point of the Cappadocia region, Uchisar Castle is well known for its panoramic views of the surrounding region. The mesmerizing structure overlooks some of the most iconic places in the area such as the airy chimneys, Goreme, Pigeon Valley, Mt. Erciyes and several others.

What to see?

Trypophobia is nothing when you have a view of Cavusin Village.
Cavusin is a touristic and charming village and one of the oldest settlements of the region situated along the Goreme-Avanos road in Cappadocia. Christians who lived here during their time created living spaces for themselves in the cavities they dug into the fairy chimneys in the region in order to escape from the pressure of the Romans and to live their religion more comfortably. Locals still live in the rock-cut dwellings and stone houses.

Wander at Pigeon Valley and look-over a sactuary of pigeons itself.
Pigeon Valley in Cappadocia is a huge 6km valley connecting both the towns of Uchisar and Goreme. So it's popular for trekking or long walks. The name Pigeon Valley comes from the all the tiny pigeon houses that have been carved into the soft stone over the years. What to see?

Visit the most deepest underground city in Cappadocia
One of the most famous underground cities in Cappadocia is Derinkuyu, built during the Byzantine era, when its inhabitants used it to protect themselves from Muslim Arabs during the Arab-Byzantine wars between 780 and 1180 CE. The multi-level city was composed of many passages and caves lying at around 60m (197ft) under the ground and was able to shelter around 20,000 people as well as their livestock and food. It’s certainly the deepest underground city in Cappadocia (and in all of Turkey). Derinkuyu was opened to visitors in 1969 – albeit, with only half of the city available for viewing.
