DAY 02: PROCEED AND TOUR SIGIRIYA VIA PINNAWELA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The orphanage was established in 1975 as a sanctuary for orphaned and injured elephants, and it has since become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sri Lanka.
Thereafter proceed to visit the Dambulla Rock Temple. The Dambulla Rock Temple is one of the most famous and best-preserved cave temple complexes in Sri Lanka. It dates back to the 1st century BC and is renowned for its religious and historical significance. The temple complex is built on a massive rock that rises about 160 meters above the surrounding plains, providing a commanding view of the area. An icon in the face of Sri Lanka, this temple houses some of the most unique drawings. Observe how exquisitely cave paintings are done along walls that shelter 150 statues of Lord Buddha.

Leave for Sigiriya Rock, A World Heritage Site (Optional USD35/person). DAY 03: TRAVEL TO JAFFNA [250KM | EST 4.5HRS] (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast at hotel proceed to the Jaffna, which is a world away from the rest of Sri Lanka. Closer to southern India than to Colombo, the region was settled early on by Tamil migrants from southern India and has retained a unique character and culture.
Enroute visit The Ancient Anuradhapura City, which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved ruins and religious sites. You can explore the ancient stupas, dagobas, and the sacred Bodhi tree, which is one of the oldest documented trees in the world.

Upon arrival proceed on a Discovery Tour of Jaffna. This is one of the Oldest Habitation Site in Lower South Asia, populated by Tamil speaking people. It is in close proximity to the sub-continent of India and separated from it by the Palk Strait and the Bay of Bengal. The peninsula is actually almost an island; only the narrow causeway known as Elephant Pass - for once elephants did wade across the shallow lagoon here connects Jaffna with the rest of Sri Lanka.
Visit the Jaffna Fort, situated on the south side of the Jaffna peninsula at the water’s edge of the lagoon, the ancient fort in Jaffna is the second largest existing fort in the Island. Originally built by the Portuguese in 1619 and re-built and expanded by the Dutch during the second half of the 17th and the 18th centuries to facilitate trading activities of Sri Lanka’s northern region. This indicates not only of Jaffna’s strategic importance to the Europeans but its significance throughout Sri Lanka’s history. Explore the ramparts, walls, and buildings within the fort complex, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area.

DAY 04: TOUR JAFFNA AND TAKE A BOAT TO NAINATIVU (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast Travel by Boat to Nainativu Island. The island is located off the coast of Jaffna. Despite its size, Nainativu holds great religious and historical significance.
Upon arrival visit the Nagapooshani Amman Temple. The Nagapooshani Amman Temple is the main attraction on Nainativu. It is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to the Goddess Parvati, who is believed to be an embodiment of divine feminine power and the consort of Lord Shiva. The temple attracts devotees from across the country. The temple's architecture and religious rituals offer an immersive cultural experience. DAY 07: PROCEED AND TOUR NUWARA ELIYA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya, The Little England of Sri Lanka, which is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations.
It is supposed to be one of the coolest place in Sri Lanka, but it is really just like an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night.
All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence, houses like Country Cottages or Queen Ann style Mansions. The Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic and is also good for Birding as you get some rare birds in this Park.
Enjoy the Ceylon Tea Experience which involves a visit to A plantation to observe firsthand the process. Starting from the plucking field where it all begins with the picking of "two leaves and a bud" to the factory where the processing begins. Originally introduced to the island around 1850 by the British, Ceylon Tea is world famous for its high quality and has remained a major contributor to the island's economy for generations. Currently, Sri Lanka is one of largest exporter of tea worldwide.
After Lunch at Restaurant, proceed on a Highlands Tour of Nuwara Eliya. Misty steep roads, twisting through lush green blankets of tea bushes in a cool climate, remind visitors that they are within the range of the renowned British colonial retreat. Augmented by an English countryside atmosphere, this city was once governed by the English & Scottish planters and is still studded with colonial bungalows, hedgerows & one of the finest 18-hole golf courses in the world.
A hike through the green grass and red-brick walls should present breathtaking views of a buzzing countryside hamlet.

You can also visit the epic Seetha Amman Temple. The Goddess Sita Devi is said to have bathed in this stream and it is believed that Lord Hanuman the monkey God had visited Sita Devi here. Now there is temple for Lord Rama, Sita Devi, Luxshmana, and Hanuman by the side of this stream. It is interesting to note that foot prints akin to Lord Hanuman's are found by this river.

DAY 08: TRAVEL DOWN SOUTH TO KATARAGAMA VIA ELLA [140KM | EST 3.5HRS] (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast proceed to The Charming Town of Ella. Located in the central highlands, Ella is known for its stunning views and outdoor activities. It is famous for attractions such as Ella Rock, Little Adam's Peak, Nine Arch Bridge, and Ravana Falls. Ella is also a popular base for hiking, with trails leading to scenic viewpoints and tea plantations.
Visit the popular tourist attraction The Nine Arch Bridge. It is renowned for its impressive architectural design and construction. It was built during the British colonial period in the early 20th century without the use of any steel or cement. The bridge stands at a height of approximately 24 meters and spans a distance of about 91 meters. As the name suggests, the bridge is composed of nine stone arches, giving it a unique and picturesque appearance. The arches create a stunning view as they blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings. The location of the Nine Arch Bridge offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, tea plantations, and valleys. Visitors can capture stunning photographs of the bridge against the backdrop of lush green landscapes.
One of the highlights of visiting the Nine Arch Bridge is Witnessing a Train Crossing. It was the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka.[1] The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city and is also the capital of the Central Province. It was formerly hidden by dense forest, but now it is covered by the 82-foot Ravana waterfalls, with a lake at the base where Sita is said to have bathed. An old temple, waterfalls, and a cave may be found at this location. This location is around 6 kilometres from Ella railway station and 11 kilometres from Bandarwela. The cave is positioned 1370 meters above sea level on a rock. Surprisingly, there is a tunnel leading to Ravana Eliya in the rear of the cave. Archaeological research has also proven human occupancy, which dates back 25000 years.

➤ As you near Colombo, you will pass through Kalutara, which is famous for the Kalutara Bodhiya, a sacred Buddhist temple located near the Kalu Ganga (Black River).


➤ Finally, you will arrive in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka. Upon arrival visit The Anjaneyar Temple in Dehiwala. One of the main attractions of the temple is the large statue of Lord Hanuman. The statue is beautifully crafted and stands tall within the temple premises. Devotees offer prayers, flowers, and light lamps in front of the statue.
