| DAY 01: ARRIVE MEDAN> TRAVEL TO PARAPAT> SIANTAR> KWAN IM TEMPLE> PATENT SHOP> PARAPAT> LAKE TOBA (B, L)

You will be greeted by your tour guide on arrival at Kuala Namu International Airport in Medan. |

Transfer to local restaurant for lunch. |

After lunch, proceed around 5 hours journey to Parapat Lake Toba via Pematang Siantar Town. |

PEMATANG SIANTAR TOWN is the 2nd largest city in North Sumatera and pass through many rubber and palm oil plantations. Siantar is famous for Batak culture, 'Batik' and 'Ulos' fabric, and Batak foods. Most of Pematangsiantar's food styles are inherited from Batak and Chinese traditional food. |

Visit Kwan Im Temple in Siantar. Vihara Avalokitesvara in Pematang Siantar is a place of worship for Buddhists. On the field of vihara there is a statue of Kwan Im Goddess that very large, reportedly the statue is the largest Kwan Im goddess in Indonesia, even in Southeast Asia which has a height of about 22.8 meters. |

Enroute stop at Patent Shop to buy local food products such as Teng Teng or Ting Ting, a peanut delicacy. |

Arrive at Parapat, a town on the shore of serene Lake Toba. |

As Parapat is situated right by Lake Toba, it also offers many water-based activities such as kayaking, canoeing, fishing, water skiing, paddle-boating and speed-boating. One main reason visitors come to Parapat is for the breath-taking view of Lake Toba and to take a ferry to the one-of-a-kind Samosir Island. This town is the main starting and returning point for all passenger ferries that go to Samosir Island. |

LAKE TOBA, It is the world's largest crater lake as well as being the largest lake in Southeast Asia and one of the deepest in the world. | DAY 02: SAMOSIR ISLAND>TOMOK VILLAGE> AMBARITA VILLAGE (B, L, D)

After breakfast at hotel, we will take a ferry trip across the crystal clear waters of lake Toba to Samosir Island a large Volcanic island that is located in the middle of Lake Toba and has claimed to be the fifth largest lake island in the world. The island is the center of the batak toba culture and many of this peoples artifacts remain on the island. |

Visit Tomok Village to see the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar. The tomb complex contains three graves of kings and several graves of relatives. The first king and the second king had not embraced the divine religion but still followed the local beliefs called Parmalim. The third king, named Solompoan Sidabutar, had embraced Christianity. He was among the earlier Batak leaders who adopted the new religion and helped shaped the modern Batak culture. He was also one of the most powerful kings as he possessed supernatural powers. According to the legend, he never cut his hair to remain supernaturally powerful. |

Then visit Ambarita Village to see the famous stone chairs and execution place of King Siallagan. It is located right at the center of Huta Siallagan under a Hariara Tree, which is considered a sacred tree by the Bataks. The Stones are believed to be over 200 years old. There are two sets of Batu Parsidangan in which one used to serve as the official meeting place, while the other served as the site for executions. |

After breakfast transfer back to Parapat. Tour continues to Berastagi. Enroute stop at Simarjarunjung where you can try the ginger tea and fried banana here (own expenses) falling from a great height in Karo Highlands. The Karo Highlands is famous for its rich volcanic soils and is a major growing area, shipping vegetables, fruits and cut flowers to markets throughout Sumatra and other regions of Indonesia. |

Stop at Sipiso Piso Waterfall to see this magnificent 110 metres tall waterfall and an extraordinary view of Lake Toba from the north side. It is one of the highest waterfalls in Indonesia. The name Sipiso-piso means “knife-like” reflecting its tall, thin, gleaming stream and the way it cuts into the face of the cliff. |

Lunch will be provided at local restaurant. After Lunch proceed to Berastagi. |

Berastagi is where the well-to-do elites of colonial Medan spent weekends and holidays relaxing and enjoying the temperate climate, away from the heat of the capital. Lush, beautiful and 4500 ft above sea level in the Karo Highlands, it continues as a popular “hill station” resort area. The name means “rice store” and the connotation of bountiful food is fitting. Berastagi is famous for its passion fruit. The main attractions of the town are the two active volcanoes; Mount Sibayak, with its hot springs, and Mount Sinabung. Each mountain can be climbed in one day, but a guide is needed. |

Visit Shwedagon Pagoda Replica at Taman Lumbini. The temple is modelled after the world's oldest pagoda, the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar. It is aptly known as Replika Pagoda Shwedagon. Within the compound of this temple is a large pagoda and eight small pagodas. |

Visit the Grand Mosque of Medan or Masjid Raya Al-Mashun is a mosque located in Medan, Indonesia. The mosque was built in the year 1906 and completed in 1909. In beginning of its establishment, the mosque was a part of the Maimun palace complex. Its architectural style combines Middle Eastern, Indian and Spanish elements. The mosque has an octagonal shape and has wings to the south, east, north and west. |

Explore Medan Mall, boasting of a variety of local and international brands, the Medan Mall is the go-to shopping destination in Medan city, on the Northeast coast of Sumatra Island. The mega mall has been hosting shoppers since the 1990’s. It can be found in the busy street of Jl. M. T. Haryono which is also home to the city’s Central Market. Although Medan Mall doesn’t have all the luxury facilities of its newer counterparts, it remains an integral part of Medan’s city life. |

Its also has important historical value where political and social movements have taken place over 100 years ago! During the Dutch Colonial era, Merdeka Walk was called Waterlooplein, - referred to as Fukuraido during Japanese era in Indonesia. If you come to Medan, don't miss visit this place and enjoy the ambience of Medan city here. |

Explore the Old Medan City Hall was built in 1908 during the Dutch colonial period. The building was designed by C. Boon, an architect for the Deli Group. The City Hall is kilometre zero in Medan, and was originally built for the Bank of Java (now Bank Indonesia), but was instead purchased by the City Council of Medan. Its bell was donated in 1913 from the Tjong A Fie Mansion. |

Visit Medan Post Office sits in the center of the city and is one of the most recognizable buildings in the area. The post office was built in 1911 during the Dutch colonial period and was designed by a Dutch architect who built it in the traditional colonial style. |
