DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 01: ARRIVE CHIANG MAI
Upon arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport, meet your driver and transfer comfortably to your hotel.
Chiang Mai, known as the cultural heart of Northern Thailand, offers a charming combination of ancient temples, mountain landscapes, traditional Lanna culture and modern cafés and shopping
Upon arrival at the hotel, check in and enjoy the remainder of the day at your own leisure. You may relax at the hotel or explore the surrounding area independently.
DAY 02: CHIANG MAI > CHIANG RAI DAY TOUR DISCOVERY (B, L)
Start up your day by 06:00am – Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
07:00–07:30am – Depart from your Chiang Mai hotel for a full-day excursion to Chiang Rai, travelling through the beautiful countryside of Northern Thailand.
Make a short stop at Mae Khachan Hot Spring, a popular rest point surrounded by naturally heated geothermal waters.
Continue towards Chiang Rai.
Visit the spectacular Wat Rong Khun, better known as the White Temple is one of Chiang Rai’s most iconic landmarks. The temple combines traditional Buddhist symbolism with striking contemporary art. It's brilliant white structure represents purity, while mirrored glass details sparkle in the sunlight, creating a spectacular appearance. Visitors enter across an ornate bridge symbolizing the journey from worldly desires toward enlightenment.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing the sightseeing program.
After lunch continue to the impressive Wat Rong Suea Ten, popularly known as the Blue Temple. The temple is renowned for its sapphire-blue architecture accented with intricate gold details interior and exterior, elaborate decorative details and striking Buddhist artwork.
Visit the fascinating Baan Dam Museum, commonly known as the Black House is one of Chiang Rai’s most unusual and fascinating cultural attractions. Created by renowned Thai artist Thawan Duchanee, the complex features a collection of striking dark wooden buildings inspired by traditional Northern Thai architecture.
Continue with a visit to a Long Neck Village, offering an opportunity to learn about aspects of the traditions and handicrafts associated with the local community.
After completing the Chiang Rai sightseeing program, begin the return journey to Chiang Mai.
Arrive back at your hotel in the evening and enjoy the remainder of the night at leisure.
DAY 03: CHIANG MAI > INTANON MOUNTAIN > WATERFALLS (B, L)
Begin you day at 06:00 AM – Breakfast at the hotel.
07:00–08:00 AM – Pick up from your hotel and travel towards the magnificent Doi Inthanon National Park.
Journey into the cool mountain landscape to reach the highest point in Thailand, approximately 2,565 metres above sea level.
Enjoy the refreshing mountain atmosphere and surrounding forest scenery.
Continue to the magnificent King and Queen Pagodas, built in honour of Thailand's late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit.
Enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens and, when weather conditions permit, panoramic views across the surrounding mountains.
Visit a local Hmong Hill Market, where mountain communities sell seasonal produce, handicrafts, flowers and other local products.
Continue to Wachirathan Waterfall, one of Doi Inthanon's most impressive waterfalls surrounded by lush mountain forest, the powerful waterfall plunges dramatically over a rocky cliff, creating refreshing mist and spectacular scenery.
Take time to enjoy the scenery and capture photographs of the powerful cascade surrounded by lush forest.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant during the excursion.
Visit Sirithan Waterfall, another beautiful natural attraction surrounded by tropical mountain vegetation surrounded by dense evergreen vegetation, the waterfall cascades down a rocky cliff, creating a peaceful and refreshing natural setting.
After completing the day's sightseeing, transfer back to Chiang Mai.
Arrive at your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
DAY 04: CHIANG MAI CITY TOUR > DOI SUTHEP (B, L)
Early breakfast by 06:00 AM at the hotel.
08:00–08:30 AM – Meet your driver/guide and depart for the mountain attractions overlooking Chiang Mai.
Visit Doi Pui Village, located in the mountainous surroundings of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park. Explore the village surroundings and discover local handicrafts, clothing, souvenirs and products associated with the Hmong community.
Continue to Doi Suthep, one of Chiang Mai's most famous mountain destinations rising above the city amid the lush surroundings of Doi Suthep–Pui National Park. It is best known as the home of the magnificent Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of Northern Thailand’s most sacred and celebrated temples.
Visit the magnificent Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of Northern Thailand's most sacred and recognizable Buddhist temples. The temple is renowned for its magnificent golden chedi, traditional Lanna architecture and spiritual atmosphere. Travel up to the temple area using the included cable car/funicular, avoiding the long staircase if preferred. On a clear day, the mountain viewpoint offers beautiful views across Chiang Mai and the surrounding countryside.
After sightseeing, transfer back to your hotel.
Afternoon & Evening – Free at Leisure
The remainder of the day is free for your own activities.
You may spend the afternoon relaxing or explore Chiang Mai independently for shopping, cafés, local cuisine, traditional Thai massage or souvenir hunting.
DAY 05: FREE TO EXPLORE > DEPART (B)
After breakfast you are free to explore Chiang Mai.
Driver will pick you up at hotel and will send you to airport.
