DAY 02: BANDA ACEH > SABANG ISLAND TOUR (B, L, D)

After breakfast and check out from hotel, proceed to transfer to Ulee Lheue Harbor for the ferry ride to Sabang (Weh Island). |

Your first stop is the Pulau Weh Panoramic Viewpoint. Located on Weh Island, this viewpoint allows visitors to enjoy stunning views of the turquoise sea, lush green hills, and coastal villages. From there, you’ll visit the Tsunami Ferry Monument—a 2,600‑ton vessel carried nearly five kilometers inland by the waves and which sheltered 59 people. |

In the afternoon, explore the Gunongan Monument, the 17th‑century white‑stone “mountain” built by Sultan Iskandar Muda for his beloved wife, Putroe Phang. |

After breakfast and check-out the hotel proceed go to Sabang Harbor to take a ferry to go to Banda Aceh. Then after landed going to visit the Tsunami Aceh Museum to commemorate about the victims of the devastating 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Designed by renowned Indonesian architect Ridwan Kamil, the museum features a unique and symbolic architectural style that reflects the strength and spirit of the Acehnese people. Inside, visitors can explore emotional exhibits, photographs, survivor stories, and interactive displays that help them understand the scale and impact of the disaster. The museum also serves as a reminder of the importance of disaster preparedness and resilience. |

PLTD Apung Museum,in Banda Aceh is a former electric-generating ship that was swept inland nearly 5 kilometers by the powerful waves of the 2004 tsunami. Originally used to supply electricity to the city, the ship now stands as a dramatic reminder of the disaster’s strength and impact. After the tsunami, it was transformed into a museum to educate visitors about the tragedy. The site includes informative displays, photographs, and viewing decks where visitors can learn about the ship’s history and the events of December 26, 2004. It is one of Banda Aceh’s most visited tsunami memorial sites. |
