Meet and greet with the tour representative at Wattay International Airport.
Start exploring Vientiane, a small and relaxed capital city along the Mekong River.
Visit Wat Si Saket, the oldest temple still standing in the city. It is known for its walls lined with thousands of small Buddha images and is one of the few buildings that survived the 1828 Thai invasion.
Continue to Haw Phra Kaew, once used as a royal temple. Today it displays religious art and Buddha statues collected from different periods of Lao history.
Visit Patuxai, often referred to as the “Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane.” This war monument commemorates those who fought for independence from France. Guests may climb to the top for a panoramic view of the city.
End the day at Pha That Luang, the most important national monument of Laos. This golden stupa is considered the symbol of the country.
Overnight in Vientiane.
DAY 02: VIENTIANE TO LUANG PRABANG BY MORNING TRAIN (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the train station for the high-speed train to Luang Prabang (approximately 2 hours).
Upon arrival, begin exploring this UNESCO World Heritage town, known for its well-preserved architecture blending Lao traditional wooden houses with French colonial buildings.
Visit the Royal Palace Museum, originally built in 1904 for King Sisavang Vong. Today it displays royal regalia, religious artifacts, and gifts received from foreign dignitaries.
Continue to Wat Xieng Thong, the most important monastery in Luang Prabang. Built in the 16th century, it is a classic example of Lao temple architecture, distinguished by its sweeping rooflines and intricate glass mosaics.
Next, visit Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham, a richly decorated monastery that once served as the residence of the Lao Buddhist Patriarch until 1975.
Late afternoon, climb Mount Phousi for sunset views over the Mekong River and the town.
In the evening, stroll through the Luang Prabang Night Market, where local ethnic minorities sell handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 03: LUANG PRABANG > KUANG SI WATERFALL > VIENTIANE BY TRAIN (B)
After breakfast, drive about 45 minutes to Kuang Si Waterfall, the most famous waterfall in Laos. The waterfall cascades down multi-tiered limestone formations into turquoise pools surrounded by dense tropical forest. Guests may walk along the forest trails or relax near the pools. There is also a nearby bear rescue center caring for Asiatic black bears.
On return to town, visit Ban Xang Khong, a traditional village known for handwoven textiles and Saa paper (mulberry bark paper) production. This visit provides insight into rural craftsmanship and local livelihood.
In the evening, transfer to the railway station for the high-speed train back to Vientiane. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for overnight.
