DAY 01: ARRIVE HO CHI MINH | EXPLORE CHOLON (Dinner)

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh airport, greeted with a warm welcome by our friendly personnel. You will be assisted at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city, business and financial hub of Vietnam. Also known as Saigon, it has a prominent history going back hundreds of years. There are plenty of museums showcasing the country's dark wartime history and classic colonial architecture built by former French rulers. Today, Ho Chi Minh City is a popular due to its fascinating culture, sleek skyscrapers, ornate temples and Chinese pagodas.

Proceed to explore Saigon’s very own Chinatown, Cholon. Offering impressive views of the Chinese’s unique cultural, culinary and architectural characteristics makes this place a completely different vibe from the rest of Saigon.

Most of the houses in this area were built in the late 19th century with its chinese influenced architecture. Entering the neighborhood, you can see most red-tiled houses lying close. In front of the house are red lanterns or a few pieces of red paper.

Admire the architecture at Thien Hau Pagoda. Built in 1760 this temple has a reputation for being very sacred. People visiting here pray for fortune or the peace of their families and loved ones.

Proceed for dinner at a local Vietnamese Restaurant.

Overnight stay at the hotel of your choice.

DAY 02: EXPLORE THE CU CHI TUNNELS | CITY TOUR OF SAIGONS (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

After breakfast proceed for the Cu Chi Tunnels. Said to be one of the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh, attend the most exciting history lesson ever.

Learn about Vietnam's guerilla war by climbing into the underground tunnels that used to be rigged with booby traps and was a crucial part in the fight. Built by local fighters during the Indochina conflict, the Cu Chi tunnels served as a base for the Viet Cong, the National Liberation Front. It included almost everything needed for the life of the Viet Cong, where the local soldiers and residents used to eat, sleep, work, cook and even go to school. Started in 1948 as a hiding place from French air attacks, by 1965, the tunnel was estimated to consist of an astounding 200km of tunnels within a larger tunnel system. Have an unforgettable experience as you explore the underground tunnels and get to know what life was like for the Viet Cong soldiers.

After lunch at local restaurant return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Proceed on a Discovery Tour of Saigon.

Established by the French colonists in 1863, explore the Notre Dame Cathedral. All materials used were sourced from Marseille in France including the bright red bricks that still retain their vibrant color.

Right in front you find a beautiful well tended garden where lies the imposing statue of Our Lady of Peace, Regina Pacis. This granite statue of the Virgin Mary was made in Rome.

Visit the Iconic Saigon Post Office. Designed by the French architect Alfred Foulhoux in 1886 it depicts classic elements of Gothic Renaissance and French colonial design. Walking inside you will feel as though you’ve been temporarily whisked out of Asia and transported to a 20th century European train station.

See one of the oldest, biggest and most beautiful French styled building, The People’s Committee Hall, one of the city’s most prominent landmark today.

Custom built in 1897 by a French architect, The French Opera House is a fine example of French colonial architecture. You have great photo opportunities here, as The Opera House is surrounded by a wide tree-lined boulevard which is so oddly European that you may need to remind yourself that you are in Ho Chi Minh City and not Paris.

Last we will head to Ben Thanh Market for shopping. One of the earliest surviving structures in Saigon and an important symbol of the city, the market is a famous place for many local and foreign tourists.

Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay at a hotel of your choice in Ho Chi Minh.

DAY 03: FREE TIME TO EXPLORE SAIGON | DEPART (Breakfast)
