DAY 02: PROCEED AND TOUR JAFFNA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed towards Jaffna, a region that feels like a world away from the rest of Sri Lanka. Closer to southern India than to Colombo, Jaffna has been historically settled by Tamil migrants and has retained its own unique cultural identity, traditions, and cuisine.
En route, visit the sacred Munneswaram Kovil in Chilaw, one of the three celebrated ancient Isvarams of Lord Shiva, the others being Thiruketheeswaram near Mannar and Konneswaram in Trincomalee. According to the Ramayana, it was here that Lord Rama prayed to Lord Shiva after defeating Ravana, seeking solace for the burden of Brahmahathi Dosham. Just a short distance away, visit the Manavari Temple, where Lord Rama is believed to have consecrated a Shiva Lingam, known as the Ramalingam, the first lingam of its kind outside India.
Continue the journey to Mannar and stop at the ancient Thiruketheeswaram Kovil, one of the five Pancha Ishwaram temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. This historic shrine, with origins dating back thousands of years, is deeply revered in Shaivite tradition and holds great significance in the Ramayana narrative as well.
After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed further north to explore the Jaffna District, the northernmost region of Sri Lanka. The peninsula, almost an island, is connected to the mainland only by the narrow Elephant Pass causeway and has been a site of habitation since ancient times. Rich in Tamil heritage, it stands as a vibrant cultural hub close to the Indian subcontinent.
On arrival, visit the imposing Jaffna Fort, situated at the edge of the lagoon. Built by the Portuguese in 1619, then expanded by the Dutch in the 17th and 18th centuries, this fort was a key stronghold for colonial trade and defense. Today, the five-sided fort with its thick ramparts, bastions, and surrounding moat remains the second largest fort in Sri Lanka, symbolizing Jaffna’s historic and strategic importance.

DAY 03: TOUR JAFFNA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, proceed to Kurikkaduwan Jetty and take a short boat ride to the island of Nainativu. Here, visit the sacred Nagapooshani Amman Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Goddess Parvati. According to legend, the temple was originally built by the Nagas and is associated with the divine serpent. The temple is also famous for its festivals, during which thousands of Hindu devotees from all over the region gather for worship. The site holds great religious and cultural importance, making it one of the must-visit spiritual landmarks in Jaffna.
Return to Jaffna for lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, proceed to the historic Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, one of the most significant Hindu temples in Sri Lanka, dedicated to Lord Murugan. The temple has a long and fascinating history, having been originally established in 948 A.D., then demolished and rebuilt multiple times under Chola, Sinhalese, Portuguese, and Dutch rule. Today, the temple stands as a symbol of resilience and devotion, drawing worshippers and visitors alike with its majestic architecture and vibrant religious ceremonies.
Later, visit the Keerimalai Naguleswaram Temple, one of the ancient Pancha Ishwaram temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated near the famous Keerimalai natural springs, the temple is believed to have healing powers and is a popular pilgrimage site for those seeking blessings and spiritual renewal. Despite its turbulent history under colonial occupation, it remains one of the most sacred Shaivite shrines in the north of Sri Lanka.

DAY 04: PROCEED TO TRINCOMALEE (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Trincomalee, a historic port city sitting on one of the world’s finest natural harbors. On arrival, relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of Nilaveli Beach and Uppuveli Beach, two pristine stretches of golden sand and turquoise waters, ideal for unwinding or optional water-based activities.
Next, visit the sacred Koneswaram Kovil, located atop Swami Rock within Fort Frederick. This ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is celebrated as one of the five Pancha Ishwaram temples. The vibrant architecture, intricately carved sculptures, and serene spiritual atmosphere make it one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic shrines. Perched dramatically on a cliff, the site offers breathtaking views over the Indian Ocean and the town of Trincomalee below.
Later, continue to the Kanniya Hot Water Springs, a cluster of seven wells enclosed within stone walls, each with slightly different temperatures. Steeped in legend and associated with the Ramayana, these springs are believed to have therapeutic properties and remain a popular pilgrimage and bathing site.

DAY 05: PROCEED AND TOUR KANDY (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast proceed to Kandy (A UNESCO World Heritage Site), The Last Royal Capital of The Sri Lankan Kings (Approx: 180KM / 4HRS).
En route Continue your journey and make a stop at a Spice Garden in Matale, where you can witness the cultivation of Sri Lanka’s world-renowned spices such as cinnamon, pepper, nutmeg, and cloves. Enjoy a guided tour through the garden, learn about their culinary and medicinal uses, and discover the secrets of traditional Ayurvedic remedies. This visit provides both an educational and aromatic experience, showcasing one of the country’s treasured natural resources.
Thereafter proceed on A Discovery Tour of Kandy.
Kandy, a World Heritage Site, was last ruled by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe and was brought under the British rule in 1815. Kandy crafts an array of culture, history and heritage in the minds of visitors across the globe. Experience an ancient Kandyan legacy engraved around its crown jewel, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.
Take a stroll across this small Lakeside Town which is cradled among the misty hills. Proceed on to The Kandy City Centre which is bundled with bazaars, an arts & crafts centre, as well as a gem museum & lapidary. Walk in color as you glide through fresh fruits and vegetables in the Kandy market.
In the evening witness the famous Sri Lankan Cultural Show. The stepping to the beat of traditional music & drumming amplified by a cultural show enhancing the rich and vibrant culture of the Wonder of Asia, Sri Lanka.

DAY 06: PROCEED AND TOUR NUWARA ELIYA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Board one of the world’s most scenic train rides! Travel from Kandy to Nanuoya through misty mountains, tea plantations, and waterfalls. Every curve offers postcard views. This is optional, seats are limited (subject to availability) and bookings open 30 days ahead. Known as the Little England of Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya is surrounded by mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and tea plantations. The climate is cool, like an English spring, and nights get chilly. The town still shows its British influence with cottages and colonial mansions. Victoria Park, in the center, is ideal for a stroll, picnic, or birdwatching.
Enjoy the Ceylon Tea Experience at a plantation. See how tea is picked, processed, and packed — a tradition since the 1850s. Sri Lanka remains one of the world’s largest tea exporters.
After lunch, continue with a City Tour of Nuwara Eliya. Winding roads, tea estates, colonial bungalows, hedgerows, and an 18-hole golf course reflect the British charm.

DAY 07: PROCEED TO KATARAGAMA VIA RAWANA ELLA CAVE (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast proceed to Kataragama (Approx:160KM/5HRS) via Ella, tracing one of Sri Lanka’s most scenic hill-country routes.
If time permits, Pause in Ella to visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge a famed colonial-era railway viaduct set amid emerald tea gardens and misty ravines. If timing permits, watch a train glide across the arches for a picture-perfect moment.
Continue to Ravana Ella Cave (Ravana’s Cave) near Ella Rock,a site entwined with the Ramayana legend, believed to have sheltered Seetha Devi during captivity. A short walk leads to the cave entrance, rewarding you with panoramic hill views.
Stop at the thundering Ravana Falls, one of the island’s most photogenic cascades, tumbling down rugged rock faces,an ideal spot for photographs and a refreshing breeze.
Proceed to Kataragama, a revered multi-faith pilgrimage town sacred to Buddhists, Hindus, and Muslims. Is a site with hot wells located in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. There are seven wells in a square shape. Wells are only 3–4 feet deep and you can clearly see the bottom. The temperature is considerably high but vary slightly from one spring to another. It was formerly hidden by dense forest, but now it is covered by the 82-foot Ravana waterfalls, with a lake at the base where Sita is said to have bathed. An old temple, waterfalls, and a cave may be found at this location. This location is around 6 kilometres from Ella railway station and 11 kilometres from Bandarwela. The cave is positioned 1370 meters above sea level on a rock. Surprisingly, there is a tunnel leading to Ravana Eliya in the rear of the cave. Archaeological research has also proven human occupancy, which dates back 25000 years.

DAY 06: PROCEED AND TOUR NUWARA ELIYA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

➤ After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Board one of the world’s most scenic train rides! Travel from Kandy to Nanuoya through misty mountains, tea plantations, and waterfalls. ➤ Known as the Little England of Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya is surrounded by mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and tea plantations. The climate is cool, like an English spring, and nights get chilly. The town still shows its British influence with cottages and colonial mansions. Victoria Park, in the center, is ideal for a stroll, picnic, or birdwatching.


➤ Enjoy the Ceylon Tea Experience at a plantation. See how tea is picked, processed, and packed — a tradition since the 1850s. Sri Lanka remains one of the world’s largest tea exporters.

➤ If time permits, Pause in Ella to visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge a famed colonial-era railway viaduct set amid emerald tea gardens and misty ravines. If timing permits, watch a train glide across the arches for a picture-perfect moment.


➤ Continue to Ravana Ella Cave (Ravana’s Cave) near Ella Rock,a site entwined with the Ramayana legend, believed to have sheltered Seetha Devi during captivity. A short walk leads to the cave entrance, rewarding you with panoramic hill views.


➤ Stop at the thundering Ravana Falls, one of the island’s most photogenic cascades, tumbling down rugged rock faces,an ideal spot for photographs and a refreshing breeze.
