DAY 03: PROCEED AND TOUR JAFFNA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

➤ After breakfast at the hotel, proceed towards Jaffna, a region that feels like a world away from the rest of Sri Lanka. Closer to southern India than to Colombo, Jaffna has been historically settled by Tamil migrants and has retained its own unique cultural identity, traditions, and cuisine.


➤ On arrival, visit the imposing Jaffna Fort, situated at the edge of the lagoon. Built by the Portuguese in 1619, then expanded by the Dutch in the 17th and 18th centuries, this fort was a key stronghold for colonial trade and defense. Today, the five-sided fort with its thick ramparts, bastions, and surrounding moat remains the second largest fort in Sri Lanka, symbolizing Jaffna’s historic and strategic importance.


➤ Continue to visit the iconic Jaffna Public Library, one of the most renowned libraries in South Asia, known for its striking architecture, cultural significance, and its role as a symbol of knowledge and heritage for the Jaffna community.


➤ Proceed to explore the vibrant Jaffna Local Market, where you can experience the daily life of locals, browse fresh produce, traditional snacks, handicrafts, and unique Northern Sri Lankan products.

DAY 04: TOUR JAFFNA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

➤ After breakfast, proceed to Kurikkaduwan Jetty and take a short boat ride to the island of Nainativu. Here, visit the sacred Nagapooshani Amman Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Goddess Parvati. According to legend, the temple was originally built by the Nagas and is associated with the divine serpent. The temple is also famous for its festivals, during which thousands of Hindu devotees from all over the region gather for worship. The site holds great religious and cultural importance, making it one of the must-visit spiritual landmarks in Jaffna.


➤ Return to Jaffna for lunch at a local restaurant.


➤ In the afternoon, proceed to the historic Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, one of the most significant Hindu temples in Sri Lanka, dedicated to Lord Murugan. The temple has a long and fascinating history, having been originally established in 948 A.D., then demolished and rebuilt multiple times under Chola, Sinhalese, Portuguese, and Dutch rule. Today, the temple stands as a symbol of resilience and devotion, drawing worshippers and visitors alike with its majestic architecture and vibrant religious ceremonies.


➤ Later, visit the Keerimalai Naguleswaram Temple, one of the ancient Pancha Ishwaram temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated near the famous Keerimalai natural springs, the temple is believed to have healing powers and is a popular pilgrimage site for those seeking blessings and spiritual renewal. Despite its turbulent history under colonial occupation, it remains one of the most sacred Shaivite shrines in the north of Sri Lanka.

DAY 05: PROCEED AND TOUR SIGIRIYA (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

➤ After breakfast, proceed to Sigiriya (Approx. 255 km / 5 hrs).


➤ En route, visit the magnificent Dambulla Rock Temple, one of Sri Lanka’s best preserved cave temples. Rising 160 meters above the surrounding plains, this sacred site offers sweeping panoramic views. Inside the caves, marvel at the exquisite murals depicting scenes from the life of the Buddha and discover more than 150 Buddha statues, each carefully preserved for centuries. (Entrance fee approx. ➤ After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the world-renowned Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmarks. Begin your ascent through the majestic “Lion Paws” entrance, climbing approximately 1,200 steps up and down. Along the way, admire the ancient frescoes, water gardens, and unique architecture that showcase the brilliance of King Kashyapa’s 5th-century engineering. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking views across the lush central plains. (Entrance fee approx. USD 35 per person)


➤ After descending, visit the Sigiriya Museum, where insightful exhibits and archaeological findings provide a deeper understanding of the fortress’s remarkable history and cultural significance.

DAY 06: RETURN TO COLOMBO. TOUR & DEPART (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

➤ After breakfast at leisure or leave for Colombo (Approx:180KM/5.5HRS).


➤ Upon arrival, proceed on a Discovery Tour of Colombo. Drive along the clean streets edging the Crystal White Race Course, a horse racing hub in 1893 & World War II airstrip, today furnished with lavish clothing, food & tea boutiques.


➤ Visit Pettah for the Sri Lankan Bazaar Shopping experience, where you can shop for spices, clothing, and witness the famous Red Mosque (Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque). Built in 1908, this striking red-and-white candy-striped landmark is one of the oldest mosques in Colombo and a prominent symbol of the city’s Islamic heritage.


➤ Head along towards 'Arcade Independence' and ODEL for designer shopping and top-notch cuisine, facing the beautiful Independence Square.


➤ Every boutique, food outlet and even the 'walk-over fish tank' have revamped this colonial masterpiece into one of the trendiest shopping and hangout zones in Sri Lanka.


➤ Have a chilled beer at the Dutch Hospital, a heritage building now transformed with fashionable shops, jewelry & handicraft brands.


➤ Make a photo stop at Lotus Stadium, a lotus-shaped sports and events arena symbolizing purity and cultural heritage.


➤ Conclude with a photo stop at Lotus Tower, Sri Lanka’s tallest skyscraper and a modern city icon.


➤ Lunch at a Restaurant.


➤ Dinner at a Restaurant and proceed to the airport for your onward flight.
